How the library answers
A run does two jobs: it searches PubMed for your terms and stores what it finds under the project, then answers your question using passages retrieved from that stored set — nothing else.
What counts as “new”
Papers matched by this run that were not already in the project's library. Anything already collected is counted separately, so a repeat search shows only what has appeared since last time.
Why every claim carries a title and year
Answers are grounded in the retrieved passages, and each statement names the paper it came from. If the library holds nothing relevant, the answer says so rather than filling the gap.
Search-only and question-only runs
- Terms, no question — collect papers and see the year spread.
- Question, no terms — ask across the papers already collected.
- Both — collect first, then answer from the enlarged library.
Keeping projects separate
Each project name is its own shelf: its own papers, its own answers, its own recent searches. Reuse a name to keep building the same thread.
